The Melbourne Veterans run a number of special events every year especially for members. These events are recognised by the members as board and champions events

| MDVGA B Grade Club Championship | 2 round Stroke competition held in conjunction with the Club Championship | T&Cs |
| The Bill Edgar Memorial Handicap Bowl | 2 round aggregate stableford score | T&Cs |
| Golfer of the Year | An aggregate season long points score, the Golfer of the year being the golfer with the highest points score. (ie. the minimum rounds is deleted) | T&Cs |
| Woodlands Cup | Best Stableford score on the day – held at and sponsored by the Woodlands Golf Club | T&Cs |
| Cranbourne Cup | The Cranbourne Cup is a legacy competition, last held in 2024. This event was a single round Best Stroke competition held and sponsored by the Cranbourne Golf Club. |
