
Combined Veterans Associations Event at Settlers Run on 30th March 2026
I am pleased to advise that we are running our first Combined Vets event that involves 12 teams from the four participating Associations.
The four Associations are:
o Veterans Golf Club of Victoria
o East Suburban Veterans Golfers Association
o Mornington Peninsula Veterans Golfers Association
o Melbourne District Veterans Golfers Association
The Event is scheduled for 30th March at Settlers Run. Melbourne Vets will be organizing and hosting the event.
As we are fast approaching March, I need to move on finalizing our 24 participants. 16 places are reserved for ordinary members with the 8 places being reserved for on-duty committee members. If all the slots are filled please put your name down on the waitlist as there are always withdrawals as we get closer to the event. If you would like to book a team, please do so directly into the event which has been loaded onto our One Golf Booking system.
The 24 members will be will be divided into 12 teams and play 4BBB against a team from one of the other Associations.
The cost of the event will be $72.00 that includes a 6 point sandwich.
The Prizes for the Event will be:
· The Assoc’n with the highest average score, ie, the total of all team scores divided by 12, will be declared as the winner of the event. If the event is deemed successful we can look at a “trophy” for subsequent combined events
· Overall Winner will be the team with the highest score
o $50.00 Drummond Voucher and a sleeve of balls to each member
· Overall Runners-up be the team with the next highest score
o $50.00 Drummond Voucher to each member
· Assoc’n Winners, excluding the overall winner and runners-up, will be a team from each Assoc’n with the highest score
o A Bottle of Wine and a sleeve of balls to each member
· Assoc’n Runners-up, excluding the overall winner and runners-up, will be a team from each Assoc’n with the next highest score
o A sleeve of balls to each member
· Sleeve of balls to each NTP Winner
As it is a shotgun start, each team will be allocated a Tee Box on the day

o Time: Registration by 7.30am for 8.00am tee off.
o Cost: $72 includes green fees and lunch.
o Cost: $20 for a local member
o Payment will be by EFT. No cash please
o Event: 4BBB Stableford
o Players: 12 pairs from each Association
o Scoring: MiScore. Club: MDVGA
o It would be appreciated if you wore your MDVGA Polo and Cap
o Location: Settlers Run Golf Club, 1 Settlers Run, Botanic Ridger, Vic, 3977
o Carts: Cost $55.00 and need to be booked and paid directly through the pro-shop. A maximum of 30 carts are available
